Before a ball is kicked.

The nerves. The rituals. The same faces in the same places. Everyone convinced they know exactly what's about to happen.

Inspired by the famous image of Alan Ball enjoying a cigarette before the game — reimagined in one of the few places generations of Blues would still have a smoke. The toilets.

Matchday nerves. Old habits. Everton culture.
